Unitedworld School of Business organised a two days excursion to Mandarmoni for it’s Kolkata campus students. The excursion was designed to help the students go through an experiential learning process. Events and activities were organized during the trip which were challenging and required leadership, team work and the ability to deal with stressful situations. It also helped them to develop their ability to organize, plan and strategize.
As a part of it’s approach to make management education more impactful and the learning more powerful, on the morning of 28th of February, a group of students, under the supervision and guidance of Prof. Dr. Meenakshi Khemka and Prof. Ayaz Shafi, were taken to a beach resort at Mandarmoni. The idea was to expose the students to a challenging work environment wherein they were required to find solutions to challenges through teamwork and collaboration. Powerful management games and activities were used as learning tools where the students were required to demonstrate their leadership and motivational skills apart from developing their ability to strategize and plan more effectively.
Challenging assignments ranging from “3 Islands” and “The Lie Detector” to “Treasure Hunt” were executed by the students very successfully. The activities provided a great opportunity for the students to experience leadership, teamwork, stress and communication and related issues.
The trip was of much fun coupled with a lot of learning. As the students said “The Tan may fade away but the Memories and Learning would last a life time”.
