The PGDM batch of 2017-19 underwent a project assigned to them by Prof. Priyanka Nair that ventured them out to the different locations in the hip and happening Ahmedabad. They observed and studied the marketing mix applied by small to big businesses. Different groups visited different business units across Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar and studied how they use marketing mix – 4P’s i.e. product, price, place, and promotion as a strategy for competitive advantage and for increasing the scope of their business.
The project also gave exposure to the versatile knowledge of management, how marketing mix is known to all business and how small businesses are the best to apply it in real life. This fun-filled project aims to give students a chance to interact with different firms, interview entrepreneurs, and floor managers and observe the benefits reaped by them by applying marketing mix accurately.
Some of the business units they visited are Sarjan Watertech, Ferns and Petals, Amul retail outlet, Divya Bhaskar, Sankalp Restaurant etc.
