Project on services marketing

It’s time again for the PGDM marketing senior students for their first practical project. They studied the extended marketing mix pertaining to services. Different groups visited different service providers across Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar and studied how they use marketing mix – 7P’s of services, i.e. product, price, place, promotion, people, physical evidence and process for competitive advantage and for increasing the scope of their business.
They had a chance to interact with the owners, the employees and also clicked selfies with them. The project also gave exposure to the aspects such as how physical evidence is a very big part of the services and how technology can play a very crucial role for fast and efficient delivery of services. Students also got to know the contemporary ways in which the service providers are now communicating to their customers and how important are the employees of a firm when it comes to services.
This fun-filled project aims to give students a chance to interact with different firms and business in services so that they can get to observe the functioning of services and contemporary approaches adopted by businesses.
The service companies that were covered in projects are: 70 degrees east restaurant, Laluji and sons event management company, Cox and Kings, Kansar garden restaurant, Sparkle salon, Play factory game centre, Make my trip, Globetrot Holidays, Greenz Restaurant, GTPL, Advance Fitness gym, Flamingo, DTDC, Airtel services, Screen and Spice, Indian Bank, and Cloud 9 spalon.
